Vintner's Table, a family-owned Italian wine bar and restaurant, opened its third Pennsylvania location at 24 Cricket Ave. in Ardmore on Sept. 28.

The new spot brings the Folino family's wine-and-food concept to the Main Line. Vintner's Table already operates locations in Phoenixville and Wyomissing, and every wine on the menu comes from the family's own vineyard, Folino Estate, in Kutztown, Patch reported.

The Ardmore restaurant features a dining room and a mezzanine level available for private gatherings, according to Patch. The restaurant opened with limited reservations to give staff time to settle in, the business said in an Instagram post announcing the opening.

Hours listed on the restaurant's website are Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Weekend brunch runs Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The phone number is 484-206-5996.

The Folino family's roots in the restaurant business stretch back decades. Rodolfo and Lidia Folino immigrated from Calabria, Italy, in the 1980s and opened their first restaurant, Valentino's, in the Kutztown area.

Rodolfo later purchased 54 acres nearby, originally planning to build homes. When township and environmental regulations blocked that plan, his son Marco and Marco's wife, Andrea Folino, pitched the idea of a winery instead, according to the Folino Estate website. The bet paid off.

The first vines went into the ground in 2014. Folino Estate now has more than 23,000 vines across 14 acres, according to Vintner's Table. The winery was named Pennsylvania Winery of the Year by the Pennsylvania Wine Invitational, according to the estate's website.

Andrea Folino founded Vintner's Table, which opened its first location at Folino Estate in 2015. The concept grew out of a honeymoon discovery: Andrea and Marco Folino found a small salumeria near Lake Como that served cured meats, cheeses, honey and olives alongside wine, and they wanted to recreate that experience stateside, according to the restaurant's website.

The Phoenixville location opened in 2019. The Wyomissing restaurant followed at the start of 2024, PennLive reported. Andrea Folino told PennLive in January that the family wants to keep expanding into downtown areas. "We like the idea of going into the downtown areas and being a nice hangout spot, welcoming people to our table," she said.

The Folinos also operate the Vintner's Inn in Kutztown and are planning a Tuscan-themed resort village called Borgo di Folino on the winery property. Reservations for the Ardmore location are available through the restaurant's website.
