Five Villanova men's basketball players maintained cumulative GPAs of 3.2 or higher while helping the Wildcats to a 24-win season and an NCAA Tournament berth, earning them spots on the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court announced Wednesday.

Guards Devin Askew and Wade Chiddick, forward Duke Brennan, and guards Malcolm Flaggs and Tyler Perkins make up Villanova's 2025-26 Honors Court class. The award recognizes junior, senior and graduate student players who carry at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA, according to the NABC.

The five honorees played on a team that went 24-9 overall and 15-5 in the Big East under head coach Kevin Willard. Villanova earned a No. 8 seed in the NCAA Tournament's West Region before falling to Utah State in the first round.

Perkins, a 6-foot-4 junior guard from Lorton, Va., led the team in scoring at 13.7 points per game while starting all 33 games. He added 5.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game and earned All-Big 5 First Team honors. VU Hoops reported in April that Perkins will return for his senior season in 2026-27.

Brennan, a 6-foot-10 senior forward, averaged a double-double with 12.4 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. Askew, a graduate senior guard, contributed 9.8 points per game.

Chiddick, a senior guard from King of Prussia who attended Westtown School, appeared in two games during the 2025-26 season. Flaggs, a junior guard, appeared in one game. Both met the GPA threshold despite limited playing time.

"College basketball student-athletes do incredible things on the court, but their achievements in the classroom are equally worthy of celebration," NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson said in the announcement. More than 2,300 players nationwide earned the recognition.

Fans can get their next look at the program on Monday, July 27, when Villanova hosts its annual Summer Jam open practice at 4 p.m. at Finneran Pavilion on the Radnor Township campus.
