Four Villanova men's golfers earned 2025-26 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America, the organization announced Monday, August 3.

Vibhav Alokam, Brockton English, Ryan Pamer and Matt Zerfass made the list, which recognized 649 NCAA Division I athletes from 210 schools nationwide. The honor requires a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA, a stroke average under 76.0, and participation in at least half of a team's competitive rounds.

Pamer, a three-time honoree, stands out. He received the award in 2023-24 and 2024-25 before earning it again this season. The All-BIG EAST First Team selection in 2025-26 ranks second in Villanova career scoring average at 72.50 and tied the program record with two individual wins this past season.

Zerfass closed his career with back-to-back honors after first earning the award in 2024-25. He tied the Villanova record for low 54-hole total at 206 and set program marks for most par-or-better rounds and counting scores in program history.

Alokam and English each received the recognition for the first time.

Head coach James Wilkes, entering his 17th season with the program and 15th as head coach in 2026-27, oversaw a team that posted a 3.803 GPA in spring 2026, according to the team's Instagram. On the course, the Wildcats recorded two team victories (tying the single-season program record), a 292 scoring average (best in program history), and reached their third-highest national ranking in a single season.

The announcement comes one week before the 126th U.S. Amateur Championship opens at Merion Golf Club in Haverford Township on Monday, August 10. The championship returns to the Main Line for the first time since 2005, when Edoardo Molinari won the Havemeyer Trophy on Merion's East Course.

The Wildcats open their fall 2026 season at the Lagowitz Alex N Memorial at Seven Oaks Golf Club in Hamilton, N.Y., on Saturday, September 5.
