Havertown's Kelly Center will bring a piece of Philadelphia rock history back to the neighborhood Saturday, July 18, when former A's frontman Richard Bush reunites with his band the Peace Creeps alongside singer-songwriter Scott McClatchy.
Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. at 4 E. Eagle Road in Havertown. Tickets are $25 for advance general seating, $35 for VIP reserved seating, and $40 at the door. Advance sales close at 5 p.m. Saturday. The venue is BYOB for a $5 donation per person, and free parking is available in the Oakmont Municipal lot behind the center off Darby Road.
Bush and the A's were fixtures of the Philly scene in the 1970s and early '80s, releasing two albums on Arista Records with hits including "After Last Night" and "A Woman's Got The Power." The Peace Creeps features guitarist John Marchiano, bassist Roy Fisher and drummer Jeff Pancoast. McClatchy plays Americana with bandmates Kirk Brewster and Chris Erikson; his sixth album is out now.
The show was booked by Nikki Moscony, who was promoted to booking manager earlier this year after working with the venue since her days at Haverford High School. Tickets are available at events.ticketleap.com.
