Executive Chef Koren Draper is converting her longtime catering kitchen on Louella Court into a breakfast-and-lunch café that opens Sunday, Oct. 11.
Koren's Kitchen Café at 11 Louella Court will begin serving at 8 a.m., first reported by Patch. The location sits steps from Lancaster Avenue in the heart of Downtown Wayne.
Draper has run her catering operation out of the Louella Court space since arriving in Wayne about two years ago, offering private events, cooking classes and private chef dinners. The café conversion puts a public-facing storefront on a block that already includes UpLIFT Haus Hair Studio and Colonna Contemporary.
The menu features breakfast sandwiches, avocado toast, salads, sandwiches, homemade soups, baked goods and seasonal items. Draper's kitchen emphasizes fresh herbs, local ingredients and cooking with avocado and olive oils. The café also caters to special diets including halal, kosher-style, keto, low-carb and nitrate-free options, according to the business's website.
This marks Draper's second café. She opened her first earlier in 2026 at the Radnor Corporate Center, 100 Matsonford Road. The Wayne Business Association (WBA) held a ribbon cutting for that location and described it in its winter newsletter as geared toward office workers seeking a better lunch option.
Draper brings more than 15 years of professional culinary experience. Her training spans cuisines she studied in Mexico, Italy, Costa Rica, Jamaica and across the United States.
She also sits on the WBA's board of directors, a role she has held since at least fall 2025. The WBA noted in its winter newsletter that Draper had become a fixture at association events and throughout the Wayne business community.
One of Draper's employees, Jasmine Duffie, won a 2026 WBA scholarship. Duffie graduated from Upper Merion Area High School and plans to study culinary, baking and pastry arts at Montgomery County Community College's Hospitality Institute, according to the WBA's spring newsletter.
The café opens at 8 a.m. Sunday at 11 Louella Court.
