A Media man, 44, will spend a decade in federal prison after pleading guilty to child pornography charges for the second time in 18 years.

U.S. District Judge Chad F. Kenney sentenced Jeffrey Worrilow Jr. on July 15 to 10 years in prison, 10 years of supervised release, $51,700 in restitution and assessments and sex offender registration for at least 15 years under Pennsylvania's Megan's Law, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

The FBI investigated the case with assistance from the Media Borough Police Department and the Upper Providence Township Police Department, both Delaware County agencies near the outlet's Radnor and Haverford coverage area.

Dark web investigation

The case began when the FBI took control of a dark web site featuring child sexual abuse material in an undercover operation in September 2024, according to a plea memorandum filed in the case. Investigators identified Worrilow as a member who had been active on the site for more than a year before the FBI takeover, using two different accounts. During that period, he accessed the site 27 times, posted at least twice and commented on other users' posts.

Agents traced a unique IP address Worrilow used in June 2024 to his home in Media. A federal grand jury indicted him in September 2025, according to a statement from U.S. Attorney David Metcalf's office announcing the sentence.

Search warrant and evidence

Investigators served a search warrant at Worrilow's Media home in March 2025 and seized several electronic devices. On his iPhone, they found 648 images and 14 videos of child sexual abuse material, with another 17 images recovered from the phone's browser. One video was found in a temporary folder on his desktop computer, created about two weeks before the warrant was served.

Several files on the phone had been accessed within days of the search.

Worrilow pleaded guilty in March 2026 to two counts of access with intent to view child pornography. Each count carried a 10-year mandatory minimum sentence.

Prior conviction

This was not Worrilow's first offense. In 2008, at age 26, he pleaded guilty in Delaware County Common Pleas Court to one count of dissemination of child pornography. He received a sentence of 11½ to 23 months, which he was permitted to serve over 24 weekends at the county jail in Concord. He also received seven years of probation and was ordered to register as a sex offender for 10 years.

Prosecution

Assistant U.S. Attorney Brittany Jones prosecuted the federal case. Defense attorney Brian Fishman represented Worrilow.
