A new rooftop bar is coming to Radnor Township.
Pomelo Rooftop Terrace, atop the 121-room Brandywine Hotel at 165 King of Prussia Road, is targeting a late-summer 2026 opening, according to a Main Line Today feature published Friday. The venue will serve craft cocktails, coastal-inspired fare and weekend brunch, and is planned to operate year-round, according to Brandywine Realty Trust, which owns and developed the $60 million hotel.
The Brandywine opened May 15 as a Marriott Bonvoy Tribute Portfolio property operated by Aimbridge Hospitality. Its ground-floor restaurant, Merrick's Tavern, began serving regional American classics May 16. Pomelo is the final piece of the hotel's dining program.
Brandywine Realty Trust described the cocktail program as nature-inspired and paired with a locally sourced, globally influenced menu in a February 12 announcement. The hotel sits minutes from SEPTA's Radnor regional rail station, and its exterior grounds were designed by Ardmore-based Jonathan Alderson Landscape Architects using native plants and trees.
The Brandywine is part of Brandywine Realty Trust's 2.1 million-square-foot campus in Radnor, which includes office and lab space. Jerry Sweeney, president and CEO of Brandywine Realty Trust, said in a May 13 press release that the hotel is meant to serve hotel guests, office tenants and neighbors in the surrounding community.
Two rooftops already open nearby
Residents looking for elevated drinks don't have to wait. Great American Pub at 4 West Ave. in downtown Wayne offers a rooftop overlooking Lancaster Avenue, open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., according to its website. In Havertown, Brick & Brew at 31 E. Eagle Rd. has operated its rooftop since April, with 15 specialty cocktails and live concerts. Rooftop hours run Wednesday through Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. and weekends from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., per the restaurant's website.
