Radnor High's boys varsity soccer team has outscored opponents 9-1 through two games to open the 2026 fall season.
The Raptors blanked Franklin Towne Charter 5-0 at home on Tuesday, Sept. 1, then followed up with a 4-1 road win at Neshaminy on Wednesday, Sept. 2, according to RHS Athletics.
The Raptors are 2-0.
In the season opener, Radnor scored five unanswered goals against Franklin Towne Charter in a home match that kicked off at 4 p.m. The Raptors kept a clean sheet in their first competitive action of the fall, holding the visitors scoreless.
Less than 24 hours later, Radnor traveled to Neshaminy and won 4-1, conceding their first goal of the young season. The school has not released individual goal scorers or assist leaders for either game.
The Raptors are scheduled to face Neshaminy again on Friday, Sept. 4, at 10:30 a.m. Whether the back-to-back Neshaminy matchups are part of an early-season tournament or two separate regular-season fixtures is not clear from the schedule.
The strong opening comes under new Athletic Director Matthew Wicks, who joined Radnor High in spring 2026 after overseeing athletics for Pasco County, Florida. That district enrolls roughly 100,000 students across 15 high schools and 19 middle schools. Wicks replaced Michael Friel, who resigned effective June 30.
In a June 4 profile published by the Radnorite, the student newspaper, Wicks laid out his philosophy for Radnor athletics: "If our sports are competitive enough, then sometimes our kids have opportunities to move on to the next level if they want to."
Two games into the fall, the boys soccer program is putting that competitiveness on the scoreboard. Radnor's next test comes Friday morning against Neshaminy.
