Radnor girls soccer fell 3-0 to unbeaten, nationally ranked Downingtown West on Monday, Oct. 5, in an away nonconference game.
The Whippets entered the matchup at 11-0-2 overall and 6-0-1 in the Ches-Mont League, having allowed just five goals all season, according to MaxPreps. Downingtown West was ranked No. 22 nationally in the United Soccer Coaches poll through Sept. 20.
No individual goal scorers, assists or saves were available from the Radnor athletics site, which posted only the final score.
The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for head coach Joe Caruolo's squad and dropped Radnor to a tentative 3-2-1 on the season, based on results listed on the school's athletics homepage. The Raptors had rattled off wins over Springfield, Lower Merion and Upper Darby before Monday's setback.
