Villanova women's basketball will open its nationally televised season against Notre Dame in Rome on Nov. 1, the BIG EAST announced Tuesday, Oct. 6, in its 2026-27 TV schedule.

The noon ET tipoff (6 p.m. local time) on FS1 marks the first game on the network's women's basketball slate. The Wildcats then host UConn at Finneran Pavilion on Wednesday, Dec. 23, at 1 p.m. on Peacock.

Those two matchups headline a schedule that includes 11 confirmed national broadcasts or streams across the regular season, with tournament assignments still to come. The slate is part of the BIG EAST's six-year media deal, now in its second year, spanning FOX Sports, NBC Sports and TNT Sports.

Across the full conference, FOX will carry four women's games, FS1 will air 15, Peacock will stream 14 and TNT Sports will feature 15. All TNT Sports games will also stream on HBO Max. Another 139 games, including 75 conference matchups, will appear on ESPN+ and the ESPN App.

Head coach Denise Dillon enters the season without senior forward Brynn McCurry, who tore her ACL. She will miss the entire year. At BIG EAST Media Day on Oct. 1, Dillon told The Villanovan the injury forces the team to lean on younger players.

"Now we're relying on some newer players, some younger players, to fill that role," Dillon said at the event. "Some big shoes to fill."

Junior guard Jasmine Bascoe and sophomore guard Kennedy Henry, both named to the BIG EAST Preseason All-Team, will anchor the backcourt. Bascoe is entering her third season on the Main Line.

Villanova opens its full schedule against FDU at Finneran Pavilion on Sunday, Oct. 18, at 2 p.m.
