Forty-eight musical acts will play from front porches across Wayne's historic district on Saturday, Sept. 19, when the South Wayne PorchFest returns for its ninth year, founder Cathy Agnew told Main Line Media News. Radnor Township's event notice puts the count at "over 50 diverse musical acts."

The free, volunteer-run festival runs from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Three streets will close to cars for the day: Midland Avenue, St. Davids Road and Windermere Avenue. Radnor Township Public Works, the Radnor Police Department and the Radnor Citizens Police Organization will handle barricades and pedestrian safety, according to the township.

Agnew, who founded PorchFest in 2017, said the lineup spans nearly every genre. "We are brimming over with terrific, returning musical acts in almost every genre," Agnew told Main Line Media News.

New acts for 2026 include Rock Voices/Montco, a rock-harmony choir joined by members from Rock Voices/Delco and Rock Voices/Cherry Hill. The lineup adds rock bands Prisms, The Sofa Kings and Shackles of Youth, Appalachian act Mountain Pay, jazz groups Wynnefield Jazz Collective and Forbidden Brass, the West Chester Ukulele Group and Sacred Heart Academy's Select Choir.

Returning performers who have played every PorchFest since 2017 include Kristen Conrad (now of Basic Cable), zydeco band Lost Northern Tribe, bluegrass group Rented Mule and the Baldwin B-Flats.

The 2026 festival also features children's activities. Entertainer and composer Dani Tapper performs at 1 p.m. Christina Yaeger Burke created street-chalking stations with PorchFest stencils, and face painting will be available.

Scott Nye of NYE Productions, a Radnor Township resident, has run sound for the festival since its first year. Bridget Subak handles fundraising and merchandise. Volunteer Ellie Fitzpatrick distributes flyers and yard signs across the neighborhood. Agnew called it "a full team effort from every corner of Radnor Township."

Neighborly's Catering will serve food on-site.

Attendees can bring their own drinks or grab a meal from a nearby Wayne restaurant. Restrooms are available at St. Katharine's School, with the entrance on Windermere Avenue and an accessible entrance on Aberdeen Avenue. Full schedules, performer lineups and maps are posted at southwayneporchfest.com and will be available at entry points on the day of the event.
