Wayne's 333 Belrose Bar & Grill was cited for two food-safety violations during the Delaware County Health Department's latest round of restaurant inspections.
Inspectors found that handwashing signs were missing at sinks used by food employees and that linens were in direct contact with lettuce, lobster and asparagus in the restaurant's bain-marie. The violations were part of a weekly sweep of establishments with liquor licenses, the Daily Times reported Sept. 14.
No other Radnor Township establishments were cited.
The restaurant, at 333 Belrose Lane, was the only local establishment flagged among nine locations inspected countywide. Seven of the nine received at least one violation.
The inspection report does not specify whether 333 Belrose's citations require a follow-up visit. The Daily Times noted that most violations across the county are handled on the spot.
Other establishments cited in the same round included McSorleys Ale House in Ardmore, Newtown Suds in Newtown Square and four locations in Media and Upper Darby. Dan's Corner Tavern in Lansdowne and Wawa #8145 in Drexel Hill received clean bills of health.
Delaware County does not add commentary beyond the violation listings. The county health department's inspection page notes that any inspection is a "snapshot" of conditions on that particular day and may not reflect an establishment's long-term food-safety record.
333 Belrose, led by Chef Ross Essner, recently underwent a renovation. No public statement from the restaurant regarding the inspection appeared as of Monday, Sept. 14.
