Radnor boys varsity soccer rolled to a 5-0 road win over Upper Darby on Friday, Oct. 2, extending the Raptors' winning streak to six games.

The result, posted on the Radnor athletics department website, gave Radnor its third consecutive shutout. The Raptors blanked Upper Merion 4-0 on Monday, Sept. 28, and Garnet Valley 3-0 on Wednesday, Sept. 30, before Friday's rout.

Radnor entered the week in first place in the Central League at 5-1-0 in league play, according to Philadelphia Soccer Now. The win over Upper Darby, a Central League opponent, pushed the Raptors to at least 6-1-0 in conference.

Defense has defined the season. Through Oct. 1, MaxPreps listed Radnor with just three goals allowed across nine games. The Raptors outscored opponents 14-0 in the final four games of September, as we reported after the Garnet Valley win. Friday's five-goal performance extended that run to 19-0 over five games.

Radnor's only loss came at Penncrest, 1-0, on Thursday, Sept. 17. Two scoreless draws against Lansdale Catholic and Strath Haven in early September are the only other blemishes.

Individual goal scorers for Friday's game were not listed in the athletics department's summary. The Raptors' next scheduled opponent had not been posted as of Friday.
